’24 Driftlympics

 ROC Drift is pleased to announce our first event – the 2024 Driftlympics!

Compete in a gymkhana-style event, in honor of the summer Olympics, that pushes your driving ability to their limits with the top 3 receiving some awesome prizes!

The Details:

• Entry fee: $40 in advanced, $50 at the door. Spectating is free.
• Pay with this link: https://pay.rocdrift.com/24driftlympics 
• Put your name in the notes field & save the receipt – This is how you check in 
• Payment is FINAL – there are NO refunds
• Entry fee includes a set of the spec tire and 2 pizza slices. The tires provided MUST be used for the comp (DS Racing LF4s). Additional pizza slices can be purchased until gone.

The Rules:

• One chassis & body per entry.
• Chassis & body may not be modified after check-in, but there will be a period for a ‘test and tune’.
• Cars should remain on the track at all times after final check-in. This may sound excessive, but it helps create good habits for comps going forward.

The Games

1. Thread the Needle – A manji event. Hitting cones results in a time penalty. Fastest time wins! 
2. Limbo – Drift through the cones without touching them. Cones get closer together each round and touching a cone results in elimination. 
3. Landmine – Drivers take a staged start and drift around the track. If a driver ‘crashes’ or hits another driver, they are out and must remain stationary. The last driver standing wins.
4. Time Attack – Drift through the cone course without touching them. Hitting cones results in a time penalty. Fastest time wins!
5. Parking Challenge – Drive through the cones and park in the square. Proximity will be measured using the wheel furthest from the parking space. The most accurate parker wins!

Rules will be announced closer to the event and again the day of the event.

The Prizes:

Prizes will depend on attendance and will be updated accordingly. However, the following prizes are guaranteed:

1. First place will receive 3 consecutive weeks of track time and pick between a Bingo RDX AWB Chassis or YD2 Forged Red Chassis & Front Bumper
2. Second place will receive 2 consecutive weeks of track time and the remaining chassis.
3. Third place will receive 1 consecutive week of track time.
4. A Bingo RC MST Chassis will be given away at the end of the event. Must be present to win. First and Second place winners excluded.

• Driver’s meeting: 11AM – 11:30AM
• Thread the Needle: 11:30PM – 12:30PM
• Limbo: 12:30PM – 1:30PM
• Lunch: 1:30PM – 2:30PM
• Landmine: 2:30PM – 3:30PM
• Time Attack: 3:30PM – 4:30PM
• Parking Challenge: 4:30PM – 5:30PM
• Open drift: 5:30PM – Close
