DESCRIPTION:Prepare to battle other local drivers for bragging rights and a chance to win unlimited track time!\nAbout Drift Wars\nDrift wars is a street outlaw-style event where drivers call out other drives to win points. The driver with the most points at the end of the month is declared the winner and will secure a full month of unlimited track time! \nDriver Rankings\nDriver rankings will be determined based on the results of official tournaments\, with the top 5 drivers being recognized as the best in the area. During the drift wars season\, ranked drivers can call out the driver above them to swap positions on the list. \nFor the first season\, your score will determine your seed in the tournament at the end of May. The top 3 drivers will secure a spot in the tournament and the remainder will be seeded through qualifying rounds. \nRules & Scoring\n\nParticipation in drift wars battle is included with the track fee and can happen any day of the week\nDrivers accumulate points from winning battles or attending the track\nWinning a battle earns 3 points and losing a battle earns 0 points\nAttending the track on a weekday earns 3 points\nDrivers can only battle the same driver once a week\nParticipants must be prepared and willing to judge battles!\n\nPrizes\n\nThe driver with the most points at the end of the season wins a free season of track time!\n\n

DESCRIPTION: ROC Drift is pleased to announce our first event – the 2024 Driftlympics! \nCompete in a gymkhana-style event\, in honor of the summer Olympics\, that pushes your driving ability to their limits with the top 3 receiving some awesome prizes! \nThe Details: \n\nEntry fee: $40 in advanced\, $50 at the door. Spectating is free.\nPay with this link: https://pay.rocdrift.com/24driftlympics \nPut your name in the notes field & save the receipt – This is how you check in \nPayment is FINAL – there are NO refunds\nEntry fee includes a set of the spec tire and 2 pizza slices. The tires provided MUST be used for the comp (DS Racing LF4s). Additional pizza slices can be purchased until gone.\n\nThe Rules: \n\nOne chassis & body per entry.\nChassis & body may not be modified after check-in\, but there will be a period for a ‘test and tune’.\nCars should remain on the track at all times after final check-in. This may sound excessive\, but it helps create good habits for comps going forward.\n\nThe Games \n\nThread the Needle – A manji event. Hitting cones results in a time penalty. Fastest time wins! \nLimbo – Drift through the cones without touching them. Cones get closer together each round and touching a cone results in elimination. \nLandmine – Drivers take a staged start and drift around the track. If a driver ‘crashes’ or hits another driver\, they are out and must remain stationary. The last driver standing wins.\nTime Attack – Drift through the cone course without touching them. Hitting cones results in a time penalty. Fastest time wins!\nParking Challenge – Drive through the cones and park in the square. Proximity will be measured using the wheel furthest from the parking space. The most accurate parker wins!\n\nRules will be announced closer to the event and again the day of the event. \nThe Prizes: \nPrizes will depend on attendance and will be updated accordingly. However\, the following prizes are guaranteed: \n\nFirst place will receive 3 consecutive weeks of track time and pick between a Bingo RDX AWB Chassis or YD2 Forged Red Chassis & Front Bumper\nSecond place will receive 2 consecutive weeks of track time and the remaining chassis.\nThird place will receive 1 consecutive week of track time.\nA Bingo RC MST Chassis will be given away at the end of the event. Must be present to win.
